Thai Traffic Survival ("the game") is made by Solojourn. We built it to collect as little as possible. This page explains exactly what is collected and how to have it removed.
The short version
What the game stores on your phone
- Your language choice, coins, level/XP, owned and selected cars, and your best local scores.
- A randomly generated install ID (a UUID). It is not linked to your name, Apple ID, advertising ID or device hardware.
- Your optional nickname.
This data stays on your device until you delete the app.
What is sent to our servers
When a run ends (and you are online) the game sends: the random install ID, your score, the time of the run, and your nickname if you set one. We use this only to rank scores on the world leaderboard and to reject obviously invalid submissions.
| Data | Why | Linked to you? |
|---|---|---|
| Random install ID | Identify your own entries; app functionality | Pseudonymous — not tied to your identity |
| Score and time of run | Leaderboard | Linked to the install ID |
| Nickname (optional) | Shown on the leaderboard | Public if you set one |
The leaderboard is public. It shows the nickname (or "Player" with the first four characters of the install ID) and the score. Please do not put personal information in your nickname.
Servers and technical logs
The leaderboard runs on Amazon Web Services in the United States (us-east-1). Our service keeps request logs (time, route, status code) for 14 days to fix problems. Like any internet service, AWS processes network metadata such as IP addresses to deliver the request; we do not store IP addresses in the leaderboard data and do not use them to identify you.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or share your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
- We do not track you across apps or websites, and the game does not ask for tracking permission.
- We do not collect contacts, photos, location, health data or payment details. The game currently has no in-app purchases.
Children
The game is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Because the game asks for no personal information, a child's play does not create a profile of the child.
Retention and your rights
Leaderboard entries are kept until you ask us to remove them. You can ask to access or delete your entries at any time (and, where the law gives you these rights, to object or restrict processing) by emailing tkbanyawat@gmail.com with your nickname and roughly when you played, so we can find your entries. We will respond within 30 days. Deleting the game removes all data stored on your phone.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, the legal basis for processing is our legitimate interest in running the leaderboard and keeping it free of abuse. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date above, and for material changes mention it in the game's release notes.
